STRIKE INFORMATION AND FAQ

  • Maybe - The International UAW Negotiators are operating under a new strike model called, “The Stand Up Strike.” They are going to be calling targeted strikes at various locations as a result of what happens at the bargaining table.

  • You will receive notifications through text and email notifications. Remember: only UAW Internationall will call a strike. Wait until you hear something through official channels before leaving your workplace.

  • In the event that we are not called for a strike, we will be working under an expired contract. Remember, only the International UAW may call a strike. Wait for official communications before leaving your worksite.

  • Timesheets: Fill out your time reports daily! In the event that we are called to strike, management can handle it as they would any other unexpected leave of absence.

    Company Laptops: Secure them at work. Unless you are working from home, it’s advised that you lock up your computer at your desk, workspace, or drawer daily.

If we are called to strike…

Refer to the strike shift assignments that were shared previously and report for strike duty. For security reasons we are not posting the strike shift assignments on our website.

Remember, the outcome of a strike situation can depend on how we present ourselves to the community and the media. NO ALCOHOL, NO DRUGS, AND NO WEAPONS ALLOWED.

Where am I supposed to report for strike duty?

Our base of operations shall be at the UAW Region 1 Building. We shall set up in the northeast corner of their parking lot, near the flag pole.
